The Cleveland Cavaliers head to Memphis on Saturday night to face off against the always tough Memphis Grizzlies.
The Memphis Grizzlies are currently sitting just one game out of the playoffs in the West, trailing the Suns. Memphis, again this season has an amazing defense, but the offense has struggled all year long and in the end will likely be this team’s downfall. The Grizzlies fell to the Thunder in their last outing, but still Memphis has won three out of their last five heading into this meeting with the Cavs on Saturday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a horrible season, but due to the fact that the Cavs play in the East, Cleveland still has a shot at the post season. Currently, the Cavs trail the Hawks by three and a half games for the final playoff spot in the East. The Cavs went on an incredible run in early February, but since, Cleveland has cooled off a bit, dropping three out of their last five. The Cavs last outing was on Friday, where Cleveland fell to the Jazz 99-79 at home.
The Cavs are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games on the road, and Cleveland is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games when playing on no rest. The Cavs are also 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games overall.
THE Memphis Grizzlies are 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games, and the Grizzlies are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games at home, when hosting a team that has a losing record.
There is no doubt here that the Grizzlies are the better team, but I just can’t see giving up nearly double digits to this Cavs team right now. Cleveland has been red hot, and undervalued as of late, and I think there is still some of that going on here on Saturday, making the Cavs my play.
