The Line: Phoenix Suns -8 -- Over/Under: 212.5 See the Latest Odds
For the first time this season, the Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns will square off on the hardwood.
The Hawks have simply fallen apart over the last month due to an overwhelming amount of injuries. They won only two games in the month of February and have allowed 100 or more points in seven of their last eight games. Just in their last five games alone, they’re averaging 103.6 points on 45.8 percent shooting, but are allowing 109.8 points on 47.9 percent shooting. Teams are getting whatever shot they want and are even outrebounding the Hawks by six. On the road, Atlanta averages 102 points and allows 104.6 points. They are 27-29-1 ATS overall and 11-17-1 ATS on the road.

The Suns have won four of their last 11 games and are coming off a big Friday victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. During the win, they shot 54.1 percent from the field and knockdown 10 threes. The Suns have been consistent offensively all season, as they’re averaging 104.2 points on 47.2 percent shooting in their last five games, which is consistent with their season averages. Defensively, they’ve allowed 104.6 points in as many games. At home, they average 107.7 points and allow 101.9 points. They are 37-20-1 ATS overall and 18-12-1 ATS at home.
Considering nether team plays much defense and you are never sure which Atlanta team is going to show up, it’s tough to lay a big number. That’s why I’m going with the total and will side with the over.
The over has hit in Atlanta’s last six games and is 7-3 in the last 10 games between these two teams that have taken place in Phoenix.
The total should have no problem reaching the 220-point range with defense being optional in this matchup.
