The Minnesota Timberwolves look to cap off their five-game road trip with a win tonight when they visit the Denver Nuggets.
The Timberwolves have won five of their last six and will be going for a third straight win tonight after taking down the Kings by 108-97 on Saturday. Kevin Love once again stuffed the stat sheet with a near triple-double, scoring 22 points 10 rebounds and seven assists, but he also had plenty of help in the form of Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin who both returned from injuries to score 20 and 26 points respectively. Trailing by three points at the half, the Wolves started the second half with nine straight points and took over the game with a 31-14 third quarter to improve to 29-29 on the season and 13-18 on the road.

On the flip side, the Nuggets have lost 10 of their last 11 games and have become one of the worst teams in the league. On Saturday, the Nuggets couldn't avoid a four-game season sweep at the hands of the Trailblazers despite 16 points apiece from Kenneth Faried, Randy Foye and Evan Fournier. They shot a paltry 23 of 35 from the free throw line and couldn't make the most of a poor shooting night from the Blazers (five of 27 from the three point line) which has been the case against Portland all season. With the loss, Denver falls to 25-33 overall which basically puts them out of the playoff race with 24 games left to play.
In ATS trends, the Wolves are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 road games against a team with a losing home record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Nuggets are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a loss and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall.
Head to head, the Wolves are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall but a dominant 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Denver.
