The Houston Rockets pay a visit to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Paycom Center on Wednesday night.

The Houston Rockets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a six-game slide after getting thrashed by the 76ers in a 123-104 road loss on Monday. Jalen Green led the team with 29 points on six of 20 shooting, Kenyon Martin Jr. added 15 points while Alperen Sengun chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals. As a team, the Rockets shot just 40 percent from the field and six of 24 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense from the start and they were always a couple steps behind the 76ers who outscored them in every quarter. Jabari Smith Jr. had a rough game as he scored just 10 points on three of 14 shooting while committing five turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in decent shape lately as they’ve won three of their past five games overall, but they will be eager to bounce back here after coming up just short to the Pelicans in a 103-100 loss on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Jalen Williams added 22 points with seven rebounds and four assists while Josh Giddey tallied 17 points with seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Thunder shot just 42 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a poor start and fell behind by 20 points in the first half which proved to be just too much to overcome as they couldn’t get closer than three points. Luguentz Dort had a night to forget as he finished with just six points on one of seven shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 road games, 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a losing record and 7-17 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The Thunder are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 home games, 35-17-1 ATS in their last 53 games against a team with a losing record and 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall, the Rockets are 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Oklahoma City and the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Rockets are still missing Kevin Porter Jr. who has been ruled out again, while the Thunder are still missing Aleksej Pokusevski. The Rockets have been dreadful all season and their confidence took another shot to the guts after getting blown out by the 76ers in their last outing. The Thunder come into this meeting as the team in better shape, they have Gilgeous-Alexander who has been in fine form and they were close to running down the Clippers in a near comeback win on Monday. This is a game I’d rather stay away from, but if I had to choose, I’ll lean towards the Thunder to take care of business at home.
