The Line: Atlanta Hawks -9 -- Over/Under: 209.5 See the Latest Odds

In a dreadful NBA game, the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks will share the hardwood. This is the second of three scheduled meetings between these teams, as the Hawks won the first game on January 25.

The Bucks continue to be one of the worst teams in the league, as they’ve only won five games since the first of February. However, despite their losses, they have scored 100-plus points in six straight games, which is making some sort of progress. On the season, they average 94.5 points on 43.1 percent shooting and allow 102.5 points on 46.3 percent shooting. Point guard Brandon Knight has really sparked the team offensively, scoring 20-plus points in four of his last five games. The Bucks are 28-36 ATS overall and 14-16 ATS on the road.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Hawks snapped a six-game losing streak on Monday with a victory over the Jazz. You wouldn’t think this is a team that’s fighting for a playoff spot with the way they’ve played over the last couple of weeks. Just in their last five games, they’re averaging 103 points on 45.6 percent shooting and are allowing 112.2 points on 51 percent shooting. They’ve allowed 100 or more points in 12 of their last 13 games. At home, the Hawks average 100.7 points and allow 97.9 points. They are 28-33-1 ATS overall and 16-11 ATS at home.

The Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Hawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams.

These trends are screaming to take the Bucks and the points, and I have no choice but to bite. The Hawks play no defense whatsoever, and although the Bucks don’t win many games, they get the job done in the only area we care about.

Take the points.
