The Portland Trail Blazers head to New Orleans on Friday night to face off against the Pelicans.
The New Orleans Pelicans have had a much better season this year, as the Pelicans are sitting at 26-38. That record won’t get the Pelicans into serious playoff consideration in the West this season, but the Pelicans have to be excited for the future with the improvement this team has shown. New Orleans is a balanced team this season, not really excelling in any one area, but at the same time, the Pelicans can hold their own in all phases. New Orleans heads into this meeting with the Trail Blazers having won three out of their last four, although New Orleans did fall in their last outing, losing to Memphis on Wednesday 90-88.

The Portland Trail Blazers have had a very solid season this year, sitting in fifth place in the West currently, having a record of 42-23. The Trail Blazers have one of the more dynamic offenses in the game right now, putting up an average of 107.2 points per game. Portland is also the best rebounding team in the league, grabbing 46.6 boards per outing. The Trail Blazers are led offensively by LaMarcus Aldridge, who is scoring a very solid 23.4 points per game this season.
The Trail Blazers are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall, and Portland is just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games against the West.
The Pelicans are a solid 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, and at home, New Orleans is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games against teams with a winning home record.
This is one that I personally am not touching, but if you want to be on this one, the value looks to be with the Pelicans. The Trail Blazers are one of the better teams in the league this season, but New Orleans is tough at home, and getting points with this team in this spot looks like the side.
