The Washington Wizards travel to the Moda Center tonight to battle with the Portland Trailblazers.
With just two wins in their last seven outings, it's fair to say that the Trailblazers have been going through a bit of a slump lately, but luckily for them, they were able to avoid catastrophe by sneaking past the Bucks on Tuesday. Wesley Matthews led the team with 26 points, Mo Williams added 23 while Nicolas Batum added 21, but even with those numbers, the Blazers will be feeling a little sheepish that they were pushed to overtime against one of the worst teams in the league in front of their home crowd. Yes, you can make the argument that the Blazers have struggled lately without their leading scorer in LaMarcus Aldridge, but what happened in this particular game was that they simply underestimated the lowly Bucks and thought they could just go through the motions and win easily.

Meanwhile, the Wizards have been in some decent form lately, but just had their two-game win streak snapped on Tuesday in a 117-111 overtime loss to the Kings. Marcin Gortat and Bradley Beal led the team with 19 points each while Drew Gooden added 18 off the bench, but John Wall disappointed with just 14 points before fouling out after pouring in 33 against the Nets on Saturday. The loss prevented Washington from moving within one game of the fourth-placed Chicago in the Eastern Conference who they will play on Apr. 5.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Eastern Conference and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a winning road record.
Head to head, the Wizards are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in Portland.
The Wizards will be disappointed with their overtime loss to the Kings in their last time out so I think they should be able to bounce back against the Blazers who seem to be in a bit of a slump.
