The Denver Nuggets play host to the Washington Wizards at the Ball Arena on Monday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past five games and they will be hoping to back on track after getting thrashed by the Jazz in a 123-98 home loss on Saturday. Bradley Beal led the team with 21 points and five assists, Daniel Gafford added 14 points with 11 rebounds while Raul Neto chipped in with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Wizards shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 25 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control at halftime, but they couldn’t keep up the pace in the second half where the Jazz exploded for 74 points to blow them away in the end. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had a night to forget as he finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past seven games and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Spurs in a 127-112 road win on Saturday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 35 points, 17 rebounds and eight assists, Markus Howard added 21 points off the bench while Monte Morris chipped in with 19 points and four assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 50 percent from the field and a healthy 20 of 43 from the 3-point line as they took command of the game with 44 points in the second quarter, before making another push in the third quarter to lead by as many as 32 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four road games, 1-7 ATS in their last eight games playing on one days’ rest and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Wizards are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver and the Wizards are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

JaMychal Green is listed as doubtful for this one, while Will Barton is listed as questionable, so the Nuggets will be shorthanded here. The Wizards have injuries of their own to deal with as Kyle Kuzma and Rui Hachimura have both been ruled out in this one and their confidence took another hit after getting blown out by the Jazz on Saturday. This should be a close one, but I’m sticking with the Nuggets over the Wizards who only have a victory over the Pistons as the only win in their last five games.
