The Miami Heat take their talents to the AmericanAirlines Arena tonight to battle the Portland Trailblazers.
The Heat have lost seven of their last 11 games and once again will be looking to bounce back from a loss as they were defeated by the Pelicans by 105-95 on Saturday. LeBron James put up his usual stats of 25 points, eight rebounds and nine assists while Mario Chalmers added 19 points, but the Heat just didn't have the personnel to cope with the Pelicans' Anthony Davis who poured in 30 points with breakaway dunks, putback dunks and mid-range jumpshots from all over the place. To make matters worse, LeBron twisted his right ankle late in the third quarter but with Dwyane Wade given the night off to rest his knees, he had to stay in the game to run the offense. With the loss, Miami fall to three games behind Indiana who currently stand atop the Eastern standings.

Over in the Western Conference, the Trailblazers have won three of their last five games but will be looking to bounce back from an ugly 124-94 loss at Charlotte. In a forgettable first half, the Blazers just didn't match the intensity of the Bobcats and got blown off the court by 69-46 and never really threatened to make a come back. Damian Lillard led the scoring with 20 points while Dorell Wright added 17, but with the game over by halftime, none of the starters played their usual allotment of minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge missed a fifth consecutive game with a back conustion and is still without a timetable for his return.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points, while the Heat are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine home games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Head to head, the Blazers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Miami and the Over is 15-5-1 in the last 21 meetings overall.
The Heat are undoubtedly in a season-worst slump so it's just a bit too hard to be laying more than six points against a streaky Blazers team.
