The Los Angeles Clippers take their show to the Smoothie King Center tonight to battle the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Clippers have won 13 of their last 14 games and will be looking to kick off their five-game road trip with a win after beating the Bucks on Monday. Blake Griffin stuffed the stat sheet with 27 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, while Darren Collison added 15 points as the Clippers beat the Bucks by 106-98. However, the win was far from convincing as the far superior Clippers allowed the lowly Bucks to stay within single digits for most of the game. At the end of the day, the important thing is that LA got their 50th win of the season and stayed 1 1/2 games clear of the fourth-placed Houston who have been in some fine form themselves.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans have been out of the playoff race for a while now, but you wouldn't know if from the way they've been playing. With Anthony Davis stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis, the Pelicans have won four of their last five games and followed up their win over the Heat on Saturday with a 109-104 overtime win against the Nets on Monday. Davis had a quiet night of 24 points and 14 rebounds because the Pelicans were riding the hot hand of Tyreke Evans who poured in 33 points on 13 of 19 shooting to lead the team back from a 22-point deficit.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six road games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pelicans are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the Clippers are 7-19 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall but just 2-10 ATS in the last 12 meetings in New Orleans.
I'm leaning towards the Pelicans in this one if the bookies give me enough points, but I'll have to wait to see the line first.
The line is finally out and the bookies are giving the Pelicans seven points which seems like it should be just enough I think. The Clippers should win, but they just haven't been blowing teams away like they should be.
