The Sixers head to Houston on Thursday to face off against the Rockets.
The Houston Rockets haven’t secured any post season position yet, but all indications are that the Rockets are playoff bound this season. The Rockets are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, holding a solid four game lead over the fifth place Trail Blazers. The Rockets have survived this season, thanks to their outstanding offense, which is ranked third in the league currently, putting up an average of 106.8 points per game.

The Philadelphia 76ers are going to have to enjoy the playoffs from the comfort of their homes this post season as the Sixers have one of the worst records in the league this season at 15-56. The Sixers have struggled in all aspects this season, but the defensive effort for the Sixers has been abysmal, as the Sixers are ranked 30th in the league defensively this season, giving up an average of 110 points per game on average. In their last outing, the Sixers fell to the Spurs 113-91 on Monday in San Antonio.
The Sixers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an outright loss, and Philly is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall. The Sixers however are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games when playing on two days of rest.
The Houston Rockets are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, and the Rockets are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against the Atlantic division.
This is just a ridiculous amount of points. I know the Rockets match up very well with the Sixers, but I just can’t give up 20+ points here. Philly can put up points, and with the Rockets likely getting up on the Sixers early, the likelihood that the Sixers come back late and get a cover is high.
