The Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics face off on Friday in NBA action the second game of a home and home series.
The Toronto Raptors have won two of their last three games and they are in third place o playoff positioning in the East. The Raptors are 21-14 at home this season and they are coming off of a win against the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday. Demar DeRozan leads Toronto averaging 22.7 points per game. Kyle Lowry is averaging 17.6 points and 7.7 rebounds, Amir Johnson is averaging 11.1 points and 6.9 rebounds, and Terrance Ross is averaging 10.9 points. The Raptors are averaging 100.9 points and they are shooting 44.3 percent and 36.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc while defensively they are allowing 97.6 points and their opposition is shooting 44.5 percent. The Raptors are neck and neck with the Bulls battling for the third and fourth spot in the East.

The Boston Celtics have lost their last two games and they are 3-7 in their last 10 as they site 8.5 games out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics are 8-26 on the road this season and they have the fifth worst record overall in the NBA. Jeff Green is questionable for this one and he leads the Celtics in scoring averaging 16.8 points per game. Avery Bradley is averaging 14.6 points, Jared Sullinger is averaging 13 points and 8.2 rebounds, and Rajon Rondo is averaging 11.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 9.5 assists. The Celtics are averaging 95.5 points and they are shooting 43.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 99.6 points and their opponents are shooting 45.8 percent. The Celtics seem to get lucky when it comes to the big NBA Drafts and with this one being loaded I like their chances of coming up big again.
Toronto is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven home games, 20-8 against the spread against the Eastern Conference, and 19-9 against the spread following a win. Boston is 9-3 against the spread against the Eastern Conference, 2-6 against the spread against the Atlantic, and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record. Boston is 20-8-1 against the spread in the last 29 meetings of these two.
The line for this one isn on the high side and while the Raptors look like a lock to win, covering double digits is another story.
