The Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets will play Monday night at the Pepsi Center. This is the third of four scheduled meetings between the two teams, and the series is currently split.

The Memphis Grizzlies have lost two games in a row, including a 105-98 loss on Sunday to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Grizzlies currently are a half game behind the Dallas Mavericks for the 8th seed in the West. On the season, the Grizzlies average 95.6 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allow 94 points on 44.6 percent shooting. The Grizzles have now lost three straight games when allowing their opponent to score over 100 points. However, Zach Randolph has woken up offensively, as he’s shooting 52.5 percent from the field in his last five games. The Memphis Grizzlies are 33-37-2 ATS overall and 17-16-2 ATS on the road.

Denver Nuggets vs. Memphis Grizzlies - 3/31/14

The Denver Nuggets have lost three straight and four of their last five games. On the season, the Nuggets average 103.7 points on 44.6 percent shooting and allow 106.3 points on 45.7 percent shooting. The Nuggets have now allowed seven straight opponents to score more than 100 points, which includes 133 in a Friday loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The Nuggets are allowing teams to shoot 51.7 percent from the field in their last five games. The bright side for Denver is that Kenneth Faried has posted three straight double doubles. The Denver Nuggets are 33-40 ATS overall and 15-21 ATS at home.

The Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Nuggets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The favorite is is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams, while the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Although Memphis has been ice cold against the number on the road, I have to take the Grizzlies and the small chalk. Memphis is desprate for a win to make a playoff push and should be able to get the job done against a Denver team that plays zero defense.
