The Washington Wizards collide with the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night from the Verizon Center.
Head to head, the Bulls are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings and 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Washington while the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings. The Wizards are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 0 days rest and 16-7 ATS in their last 23 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, but just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Bulls on the other hand are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest, 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 vs. Eastern Conference and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Both the Washington and Chicago come into tonight's game off the back of some good form with the Wizards having won four of five while the Bulls have won four straight. Both teams are also coming off wins on Friday night as Washington took down the Knicks in New York in a 90-89 thriller, while Chicago easily accounted for the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 102-90.
Even though the Bulls have easily been the better team over the last couple of seasons, the Wizards have the edge in recent meetings, winning the last two and four of five overall. Not only that, but Washington has covered the spread in six of the last seven. On the flipside, all of their meetings were earlier in the season, when Chicago was struggling. They have clearly been the better team since the All-Star break and one of the best in the entire league.
This one is a tough as they come. On one hand you have a Wizards team that has one four of five against against Chicago, but like I just said, the last two wins were earlier in the season when the Bulls weren't all that good. Chicago has won nine of their last 13 away from home and while I wouldn't put money on it, I think they get the narrow victory here...
