The Dallas Mavericks continue their surge towards the playoffs with a game against the Sacramento Kings tonight.
The Mavericks have won three of their last four games and will be looking to make it three wins on the trot after taking down the Clippers and the Lakers in consecutive nights. After battling their way past the pesky Clippers, the Mavs quickly regrouped and had a much easier night against the lottery-bound Lakers, beating them by 107-95 thanks to contributions from several players. Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting, while Monta Ellis ran the offense for eight points and nine assists, but the real x-factor for the Mavs was Brandan Wright who made all 10 of his shots and scored a season-high 23 points in just 27 minutes off the bench. With the win, Dallas kept their lead of half a game over Memphis who currently occupy the eighth spot in the West.

Near the bottom of the standings are the Kings who have lost four of their last six games and are coming off a horrific 102-69 loss against the Warriors. With nothing really to play for, the Kings came out of the gates with no energy and found themselves behind by 59-27 heading into halftime. DeMarcus Cousins still had himself a nice outing of 19 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes, but no one else came to play as the Kings shot a miserable 32 percent from the field and made just one three pointer.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 45-18 ATS in their last 63 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win, while the Kings are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Head to head, the Home team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and the Over is 7-0 in the last seven meetings in Sacramento.
Most teams would have a major bounce-back game after such a big loss, but you never know with this Kings team so I'll have to wait to see the line before I can make my prediction here.
I wanted to take the Kings with the points but the bookies just aren't giving me enough so I'll take the Mavs here.
