The Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons face off on Friday Night in Chicago in late season NBA action.
The Chicago Bulls have clinched a playoff spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference but their final positioning is all but settled. The Bulls are tied with the Raptors for the third and fourth spot as the Bulls have won six games in a row. D.J. Augustin leads the Bulls averaging 14.8 points and 5.0 assists, Carlos Boozer is averaging 13.7 points and 6.4 rebounds, Taj Gibson is averaging 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds, and Joakin Noah is averaging 12.6 points 11.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. As a team the Bulls are averaging 93.5 points and they are shooting 43.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 91.6 points and their opponents shoot 42.9 percent. The Bulls have once again gotten it done with their best player, Derrick Rose, on the sidelines.

The Detroit Pistons are playing for pride and for next year but don’t expect them to lay down here. The Pistons are 4-6 in their last 10 games and just 12-27 on the road. Brandon Jennings leads Detroit averaging 15.6 points and 6.8 rebounds, Greg Monroe is averaging 15.2 points and 9.3 rebounds, and Rodney Stuckey is averaging 13.7 points. As a team the Pistons are averaging 100.9 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 104.5 points and their opponents are shooting 47 percent. The Pistons should get some immediate help in the NBA Draft.
Chicago is 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games, 6-1 against the spread against the NL Central, and 20-8-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Detroit is 4-1 against the spread on the road against a team with a winning home record, 1-7 against the spread against the NBA Central, and 0-5 against the spread following a loss. The road team has covered the point spread in six of the last seven meetings of these two.
The total is set at 192 and for this one I like the Under. My stronger pick is on who will cover the spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as the app.
