The Milwaukee Bucks and the Cleveland Cavaliers face off on Friday in Milwaukee in a NBA battle of non-playoff teams.
The Milwaukee Bucks have the worst record I the NBA and will more than likely finish the season with that distinction. The Bucks are 9-30 at home, 1-9 in their last 10 games, and they have lost six games in a row. Brandon Knight leads Milwaukee averaging 17.7 points per game, Kris Middleton is averaging 11.8 points, and O.J. Mayo is averaging 11.7 points. The Bucks are averaging 95.1 points and they are shooting 43.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 103.3 points and their opponents are shooting 46.7 percent. The Bucks can draft no worse than fourth in the upcoming NBA Draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers thought they had a chance a the playoffs back at the trade deadline but they were too far back and will come up short. The Cavaliers are 14-26 on the road, 6-4 in their last 10 games, and they are coming off of a win in their last game. Kyrie Irving leads Cleveland averaging 21.7 and 6.2 assists, Dion Waiters is averaging 15.8 points, and Luol Deng is averaging 14.3 points and 5.1 rebounds. As a team the Cavaliers are averaging 97.8 points and they are shooting 43.5 percent while defensively they are allowing 101.4 points and their opponents are shooting 45.2 percent. Cleveland will get another shot at the number one overall pick in the lottery this year.
Milwaukee is 4-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 2-6 against the spread against the Eastern Conference, and 6-1 against the spread when their opponent scores 100 or more points in their previous game. Cleveland is 5-0 against the spread against the NBA Central, 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 games, and 7-3 against the spread against the Eastern Conference. The underdog has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.
Milwaukee has been poor straight up but not bad against the number but the odds makers simply don’t give them a lot of help here and I like the Cavs to get the cover on the road.
