The San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets duke it out at the Toyota Center on Sunday night.

The San Antonio Spurs were building some momentum with a couple of wins in a row before they ran into the Rockets in a 122-110 loss last night. Devonte Graham led the team with 28 points, Zach Collins and Jeremy Sochan each scored 14 points while Tre Jones chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Rockets to pour in 41 points in the second quarter to take the lead from them and things only got worse in the second half where they managed just 42 points. Blake Wesley had a night to forget as he finished with just two points on zero of six shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets were in terrible form as they had lost 11 games in a row before they took down the Spurs in an upset win last night. Tari Eason led the team with 20 points on seven of 11 shooting, Alperen Sengun added 16 points with 10 rebounds and four assists, while Kenyon Martin Jr and Joshua Christopher each scored 14 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 56 percent from the field and eight of 23 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Spurs in a tightly contested first half, before they made a final push in the fourth quarter to make it a double-digit win.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 8-21 ATS in their last 29 road games, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest. The Rockets are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest, 28-57 ATS in their last 85 games against a team with a losing record and 7-22 ATS in their last 29 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 15-6 in the last 21 meetings in Houston, The Spurs are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Houston and the Spurs are 4-1 ATS in the five meetings overall.

The Spurs are shorthanded again as Devin Vassell, Doug McDermott and Keldon Johnson are all out again, while the Rockets are still missing Jae’Sean Tate. It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row, but the Spurs don’t have anything to play for at this stage of the season and they are still missing three of their best scorers. You couldn’t back either team with much confidence this season, but I like the Rockets to make it two wins in two nights.
