The Boston Celtics go for a third straight win tonight when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
Despite having nothing but pride to play for, the Celtics have looked seriously good in their last couple wins to bounce back from nine straight losses. Following a hard-fought win over the Bobcats on Friday, I expected the C's to start the game slow the following night, but they showed no signs of fatigue in a 111-99 win over the Cavs. Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk led the scoring with 25 points apiece while Phil Pressey steered the offense with nine points and 13 assists as the C's absolutely trounced the Cavs, leading by as many as 33 points despite dressing only eight players.

Meanwhile, the 76ers have won just two of their last 33 games but showed plenty of fight in a 111-105 loss to the Bobcats on Saturday. Michael Carter-Williams led six players in double figures with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, but the 76ers just didn't have an answer for the Bobcats' Al Jefferson who dominated with 29 points on 13 of 19 shooting. Even though they lost, the Sixers will be delighted that they were able to push the playoff-bound Bobcats to the edge, however thin that silver lining may be.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points, while the 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 8-23 ATS in their last 31 home games.
Head to head, the Celtics are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Philadelphia but hte Road team is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall.
I definitely won't be putting my hard-earned money on either of these teams tonight but I have to say that the Celtics have looked much better than the 76ers lately.
