The Miami Heat look continue their push towards the playoffs with a game against the Washington Wizards tonight.
After taking beating the Pacers on Friday, the Heat enjoyed the view from atop the Eastern standings, but fell back to second on Saturday thanks to the pesky Hawks who beat them by 98-85. LeBron James led the way with 27 points while Dwyane Wade returned from a nine-game absence and added 24 points on 10 of 14 shooting, but no other player made much of a contribution as the Heat collapsed for just 36 points in a horrible second-half performance. Miami were just due for a letdown performance after such an important win the previous night and it was their defense that really suffered as the Jeff Teague burned them for 25 points while Louis Williams added 23 points in 23 minutes off the bench. With just two games left to play, the Heat will need to win both to have a chance at reclaiming the top seed in the East.

Meanwhile, the Wizards have won six of their last nine and will be going for a third straight win after making light work of the Bucks on Saturday. Against the league's worst team, the Wizards played down to their opponent's level and didn't really play defense until the second half to put the Bucks away. John Wall had just 15 points but was happy to play second fiddle to Bradley Beal who led the way with 26 points on 12 of 22 shooting. With the win, Washington improved to 42-38 and remain in sixth place, one game clear of Charlotte.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games, while the Wizards are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a win and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Heat are 19-6-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Washington but the Home team is a healthy 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
LeBron is expected to be rested for this game, so this looks like a perfect spot for the Wizards to get a win and cover over the Heat tonight.
