The Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors meet for Game 4 tonight.
After blowing out the Warriors in Game 2, there was always an outside chance that the Clippers would come into this one a bit too relaxed, but ithey were able to gain control of the match early on thanks to Blake Griffin who led the way with 32 points on 15 of 25 shooting. The scoring didn't stop there as Chris Paul added 15 while JJ Redick had 14, but the real x-factor for me was DeAndre Jordan who had 14 points, while anchoring the defense with 22 rebounds and five blocks. The only real blemish from the win was the fact that the Clippers had an 18-point lead wittle down to just two late in the game, but the bottom line is that they took care of business and earned themselves a 2-1 series lead.

Meanwhile, the Warriors will be kicking themselves that they let gave up home-court advantage, but the silver lining from the loss was that they were able to hang with the Clippers despite playing below their best. Klay Thompson led the scoring with 26 points while Stephen Curry was forced to play the role of distributor but still finished with 16 points and 15 assists. Curry had an effective game despite taking just 12 shots, but he is too good a scorer to be limited to just 12 shot attempts in a key playoff game.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win and 1-7 ATS in their last eight Conference Quarterfinals games, while the Warriors are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 Conference Quarterfinals games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Home team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the Clippers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Golden State.
The Clippers clearly have the upper hand on the Warriors in this series but I just get the feeling that this is basically a "must win" game for the home team, so I'm backing them to scrape home in a thriller.
