The Houston Rockets will be looking to stave off elimination against the Portland Trailblazers in Game 5 Wednesday Night.
For the third time this series, it took more than 48 minutes to decide a winner between the Trailblazers and the Rockets and this one was an absolute cracker. For the Rockets, James Harden led the way with 28 points, Chandler Parsons had 26 while Dwight Howard added 25, but despite leading by eight points midway through the fourth quarter, the Rockets just couldn't get it done and once again it came down to their porous defense.

Every starter except for Robin Lopez played more than 40 minutes and contributed more than 20 points each. LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 29 points, Nicolas Batum had 25, Damian Lillard added 23 points and Wesley Matthews had 21 as the Blazers started slow but finished the game strong to pip the Rockets in overtime. In a game that was so gritty, so scrappy and so close, the game came down to one final shot and it was Matthews lunging steal in the last few seconds of the game that really put the exclamation mark on how much better defensively the Blazers are to the Rockets.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 6-0 ATS in their last six road games and 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 Conference Quarterfinals games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings and the Over is 16-5 in the last 21 meetings.
My gut is really telling me to take the Rockets to stave off elimination for another game and take this series to a Game 6, but there's no doubt in my mind that the Blazers have clearly been the better team and look to be good value in this game.
