The Portland Trail Blazers try to close out the Houston Rockets in game six on Friday night.

The Rockets were able to take care of business in game five by shooting 47.3 percent from the field and getting 21 points from Jeremy Lin off the bench. Game five was probably the first complete game we’ve seen from the Rockets this series, but it’s still tough to ignore their 44.4 percent shooting from the field. That’s about a three percent decrease from the regular season, and James Harden has led the poor shooting charge by knocking down just 34.7 percent of his shots in the first five games. Overall, the Rockets are averaging 114.8 points and are allowing 114.2 points in this series. The Rockets are also 7-12 SU in their last 19 games when allowing 100 or more points. The Houston Rockets are 43-42-2 ATS overall and 20-23 ATS on the road.

Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers NBA Pick, Odds, Prediction - 5/2/14 Game Six

With the 108-98 loss in game five, the Trail Blazers fall to 2-14 SU in their last 16 games when failing to score at least 100 points. The Trail Blazers shot just 43.4 percent from the field in the loss and received just eight points from star forward LaMarcus Aldridge. Even with the poor shooting performance in the loss, the Trail Blazers are still shooting 36.2 percent from downtown and return home where they knock down threes at a 36.7 percent clip. Damian Lillard is shooting 45 percent from the field and 45.9 percent from three in this series. The Portland Trail Blazers are 46-41 ATS overall and 19-24 ATS at home.

The Rockets are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Trail Blazers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. The Rockets are 7-1-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Portland.

Portland is one of the tougher places to steal a win and the crowd is going to be intense. The Trail Blazers have controlled this series for the most part and that won't change in an elimination game. I like Portland to get the job done on its home court and cover the small number.
