The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards will square off Sunday night in game four of the NBA playoffs. The Pacers lead the series 2-1.
The Pacers won game three due to forcing 17 turnovers and getting 23 points from star Paul George. The Pacers outscored the Wizards 26-12 in the third quarter, pretty much putting the game away early. In the Pacers last five games, they’re averaging 90.8 points on 43.3 percent shooting and allowing 83 points on 37.1 percent shooting. The Pacers are now 8-1 SU in their last nine games when allowing less than 100 points, including 6-1 during the playoffs. Don’t look now, but Roy Hibbert is shooting 66.7 percent from the field and averaging 14 points during this playoff series. David West has scored in the double figures in six of the 10 playoff games. The Indiana Pacers are 43-48-1 ATS overall and 20-25 ATS on the road.

In the game three loss, the Wizards scored just 63 points and shot 32.9 percent from the field. Keep in mind that the Los Angeles Clippers scored 63 points in the first half of their game three against the OKC Thunder. In the Wizards last five games, they’re averaging 84 points on 40.3 percent shooting and allowing 85 points on 41.1 percent shooting. John Wall is shooting just 34.2 percent from the field in the postseason and turned the ball over seven times in the game three loss. The Wizards are 5-9 SU in their last 14 games when failing to score 100 or more points. The Washington Wizards are 49-40-1 ATS overall and 18-25-1 ATS at home.
The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 15-36-1 ATS in their last 52 games overall. The Wizards are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 1 days rest and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
Not sure how this happened, but it seems like the Wizards forgot how to play basketball recently and have been embarrassed in back-to-back games. However, this is a must win game for the young Wizards and it’s still too early to completely trust the Pacers despite two OK performances.
Give me Washington and the small chalk at home.
