Key Additions: Jabari Parker, Jerryd Bayless, Jared Dudley
Key Losses: None.
Biggest Strength: Although he has yet to play in an NBA game, the Milwaukee Bucks strength has to be an individual player in Jabari Parker. For the first time in god knows how long (Michael Redd?), the Bucks have a player who has the potential to be an All-Star player and lead this team. Last year, the Bucks ranked 28th in the league in points scored and 25th in points allowed, often wondering who was going to be that guy to step up and carry the team. Of course, it’s going to take much more than one guy, but Parker has the ability to lead the charge at both ends of the floor and keep the Bucks from becoming a sinking ship. If there’s any reason to watch some Milwaukee Bucks games this season, it’d be to catch a glimpse of Jabari Parker and the bright future he has on the hardwood.
Biggest Weakness: Just about everything? The Milwaukee Bucks were the worst team in the NBA last season with just 15 wins. Call it tanking or whatever you’d like, but this is a bad basketball team that will need team before climbing out of the Eastern Conference. The Bucks struggle to score, play defense, rebound and win games. The addition of Jabari Parker, as well as a couple of veterans in Jerryd Bayless and Jared Dudley will help, but it’s not going to turn the Bucks into a playoff contender. Until we see improvement with our own eyes, the Bucks have almost a weakness at every position.
Expectations: After winning just 15 games last season, there are no expectations for the Milwaukee Bucks. Fans can only hope for 20 to 25 wins this season. Baby steps if you’re a Bucks fan.
