The Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers will begin their 2014 preseason Tuesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will learn what life is like without superstar Kevin Love. While the season may not sound promising, the Timberwolves have some young talent to be excited about beginning with Andrew Wiggins, who was drafted first overall in the past draft. Thaddeus Young comes over from Philadelphia after averaging nearly 18 points last season, and Anthony Bennett should be a lot more productive than he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers with a year under his belt. The Minnesota Timberwolves also have some deep point guard depth with Ricky Rubio returning and the addition of Mo Williams. The T-Wolves also have to be extremely excited about rookie Zach LaVine and should give him plenty of minutes in the preseason in hopes of him being ready for when the games count. Minnesota could be a fun team to watch.

The Indiana Pacers head into the preseason with a ton of question marks after losing Lance Stephenson to free agency and Paul George to injury. The Pacers still have experienced players such as David West, Roy Hibbert and George Hill, but they have to find some younger players who can contribute, especially on the offensive end. Last season, the Indiana Pacers were 24th in the league in points per game and that was with their best two players on the floor. Very few Indiana players can create their own shot and with not a lot of depth, Frank Vogel and his staff have their work cut out for them. Expect nearly the entire roster to be used and don’t have high expectations.
I'm not sure how the Indiana Pacers can win or cover games this season with the lack of weapons. The Minnesota Timberwolves are a young team that will look to build some confidence early. Give me Minnesota and the points, as the T-Wolves should win SU.
