The Line: See the Latest Odds

The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons will play a preseason game Thursday night at the The Palace of Auburn Hills.

This is a back-to-back game for the Milwaukee Bucks, a team that beat the Memphis Grizzlies 86-83 on Wednesday night. The Bucks managed to come back in the second half and were led by 17 points from Khris Middleton. Jabari Parker played 32 minutes in his first NBA action, shooting 6-15 for 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds. As a team, the Milwaukee Bucks shot 41.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three, all while turning the ball over 21 times. Look for Brandon Knight to clean his game up in this matchup after leading the charge with five of those turnovers. Right now, the Milwaukee Bucks are just a young basketball team with pretty much everybody on the roster fighting for playing time, so you should expect to see that competitive fire from everybody.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Detroit Pistons - 10/9/14 NBA Preseason Pick, Odds, Prediction

The Detroit Pistons beat the Chicago Bulls in overtime in their first preseason game Tuesday. Greg Monroe was an absolute baller in the winning effort, scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was the surprise of the game by scoring 18 points on 7-15 shooting. Overall, the Detroit Pistons shot 41.5 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from downtown. And despite the extra period, the Pistons only turned the ball over 13 times. The Pistons are a very talented team with a ton of potential, they just have to improve on the defensive end and mature on and off the court. One preseason game doesn’t tell the whole story, but the Detroit Pistons showed promise in their first contest and could use it as a stepping stone the rest of the way.

I don't like this matchup much basically because we still have no idea what to expect from the Milwaukee Bucks. I really like the Pistons and think they could be a surprise team this season. But at the end of the day this is a preseason game and getting a decent amount of points is always too good to pass up. The Bucks are the play if you must touch this game.
