The Boston Celtics travel to the Air Canada Centre to play a Friday preseason game against the Toronto Raptors.
Don’t look now but the Boston Celtics are 2-0 in the preseason and have won both games by 20 points. In the Celtics last game, they shot a blistering 48.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from downtown. Kelly Olynyk has really stepped his game up in the first two games by scoring a combined 26 points, while Jared Sullinger is coming off a 23-point performance in a win over the New York Knicks. The Celtics can only hope rookie point guard Marcus Smart finds his groove, as he’s 4-16 from the field in the first two games. Overall, however, the Boston celtics have played much better in the preseason than anybody could have ever imagined and competition is fierce with so many roster spots up for grabs. Although this is the first road game for Boston, so it’ll be interesting to see if the impressive play continues.

The Toronto Raptors split their first two preseason games with the Sacramento Kings and finally get to play a different team. The Raptors are really stroking the long ball, as they’ve made 16 threes in the first two games and shot above 41 percent from deep in their most recent game. DeMar DeRozan has picked up where he left last season, as he’s combined for 44 points and Kyle Lowry is coming off a 25-point performance in just 24 minutes. Amir Johnson has played a real passive preseason so far with just five points and six shots in the first two games. The Toronto Raptors played their entire team in their last matchup and will continue to do so as they look for quality depth behind a solid starting five.
