Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat
NBA Basketball: Saturday
The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers will play a preseason game Saturday at the HSBC ARENA.
The Cavaliers only preseason game has been a victory over Tel Aviv Maccabi, a game in which LeBron James played only 20 minutes and scored 12 points. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 16 points and Kevin Love scored eight points on 2-6 shooting. Overall, the Cleveland Cavaliers shot 40.9 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from downtown. Everybody but Stephen Holt saw playing time for the Cavs and you can expect the same here, as Cleveland needs to find some playmakers outside of their big three. Joe Harris played well off the bench with 10 points in 17 minutes and Lou Amundson grabbed five rebounds in 10 minutes. While this game may be a big deal for the media, don’t expect LeBron and company to play much give the fact it’s another meaningless preseason game.

The Miami Heat lost their only preseason game in overtime to the Orlando Magic. Chris Bosh and Luol Deng combined for 36 points, while James Ennis chipped in 14 points off the bench. Ennis is an athletic player who should certainly have a roster spot with the things he’s shown in camp. Overall, the Heat shot 39.4 percent from the field and 15.6 from three. Rookie Shabazz Napier continues to struggle mightily, as he was a poor 1-6 from the field and keeps finding it difficult to make the transition from college to the pros. Dwyane Wade, who hopes to play in every game this season, played 20 minutes and shot 50 percent from the field. The Heat are just hoping a player such as Shannon Brown or Shawne Williams can come to life this preseason and make an impact.
There's no way I'm laying this much chalk in a preseason game. It's a coin flip. Always take the points when it's above five points.
