The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets will play a Wednesday preseason game at the MasterCard Center.
The Sacramento Kings are 1-2 in the preseason and just lost to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, 97-95. The good news for the Kings is that Sunday was the first game they didn’t turn the ball over at least 20 times, as they coughed the ball up just 11 times in the loss. Ramon Sessions played his best game by leading the Kings with 18 points and it was the second time he scored in the double figures, as he’s provided some quality point guard depth off the bench. Ben McLemore, who is competing for serious playing time at shooting guard, is 10-24 from the field and has racked up five steals. DeMarcus Cousins has played less than 20 minutes in his last two games and you can expect his minutes to continue to be monitored with his status on the team already solidified.
USA TODAY Sports
The victory over the Sacramento Kings was the first time the Brooklyn Nets played an NBA team in the preseason. Brook Lopez led the Nets with 18 points and six rebounds, as Brooklyn has to thrilled to have him back on the court. Deron Williams had 12 points and six assists, while Jarrett Jack had 10 points and four assists, giving the Nets experienced depth at the point guard position. Mirza Teletovic knocked down two of five three attempts, as he hopes to continue being an offensive spark off the bench for Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Nets are an experienced bunch that doesn’t need the preseason that much with everybody pretty much knowing who they are on the team. However, Cory Jefferson has the most to gain as a valuable piece off the bench, but he didn’t play in the Nets last game.
It's tough to beat the same team twice, even in the preseason. Give me the Sacramento Kings for the victory.
