The Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat play Friday night at the Sprint Center.
The Golden State Warriors improved to 4-0 in preseason play with a win Thursday over the Denver Nuggets. The Warriors have topped 100 points and shot above 48 percent from the field in each game. Klay Thompson has knocked down 12 threes in his last three games and Stephen Curry has scored a combined 70 points in all four games. In James Michael McAdoo’s first real shot to contribute on Thursday, he shot 7-10 from the field and led the Warriors with 20 points. The real concern for the Warriors has to be the inconsistent play from Harrison Barnes, who has to take his game to the next level if Golden State is going to be a true contender this season. The Golden State Warriors are pretty much what they’ve been during the regular season and as long as they continue to knock shots down at that percentage, they’ll be tough to beat.

The Miami Heat are still looking for their first preseason win as they’re 0-4. Chris Bosh has thrived in his new role, scoring 18 or more points in his last three games, while rookie Shabazz Napier is finally starting to come along with a combined 28 points and 11 assists in his last two games. The one player Miami should really be excited about is James Ennis, who has played extremely well on both sides of the ball and is coming off a 10-point, 5-steal performance in his last contest. Free agent pickup Danny Granger has knocked down seven threes in the preseason, including three in his last game. Mario Chalmers missed the last game with a hip pointer and is questionable for this matchup. The Miami Heat have looked sharp at certain points in the preseason, they just need to put it together to finally get a win.
Until Golden State starts missing its shots, I'm backing the Warriors and the slight chalk. The Heat don't have enough offensive firepower to keep up.
