The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs play a Wednesday preseason game at the AT&T Center.
The Atlanta Hawks are 2-3 in the preseason and have lost two of their last three games. One Atlanta player who seems ready for the regular season is Paul Millsap, who is coming off a 21-point 6-rebound performance in the Hawks last game. Al Horford continues to try and get into playing shape by playing 20-plus minutes in his last two games and shooting 40 percent from the field in his last contest. Mike Scott has been a pleasant surprise in the preseason, scoring a combined 39 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in his last three games. Kyle Korver is 3-11 from downtown in his last two games. Overall, the Atlanta Hawks are just looking for more consistency from all of their players are we enter the regular season.

This will be the third and final home preseason game for the San Antonio Spurs, who are 2-3 overall. The Spurs pretty much are what they are whether regular season or preseason, as guys continue to shine no matter who is on the court. Guys such as Jeff Ayres, JaMychal Green and Austin Daye are scoring double-digit points off the bench when their number is called, and the usual guys have looked fine when they take the floor. Rookie Kyle Anderson, who has great potential at the point guard position, has racked up a combined 36 points in his last three games. Marco Belinelli is 11-30 from the field in his last two games and continues to give the Spurs a big spark off the bench. Again, the San Antonio Spurs are one of the few teams out there that is ready for the real games to begin.
Even in the preseason, the Spurs are a solid basketball team that plays well at both ends of the court. Give me the home team and the chalk.
