The Utah Jazz will be looking to avoid a third straight loss when they battle the Phoenix Suns tonight.
After showing plenty of fight in a loss to the Pacers on opening night, the Utah Jazz just couldn't stay with the Mavericks on Thursday, falling behind by 69-44 at halftime before losing by 120-102. Gordon Hayward and Trey Burke scored 16 points apiece, while Derrick Favors added 17 points and 11 rebounds, but this game was over before it really began so you can count most of the Jazz's points as garbage buckets.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns seemed to have picked up from where they left off last season. After crusing past the Lakers by 20 points on opening night, the Suns were made to battle last night and were able to take down the champion Spurs team by 94-89 despite falling behind by double digits early. Markieff Morris had a big night of 20 points and 11 rebounds while the rest of the starters struggled. Fortunately, the newly acquired Isaiah Thomas continued his early bid for Sixth Man of the Year with another big night off the bench, scoring a game-high 23 points on 10 of 17 shooting to lead the Suns to an unlikely victory.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 16-6 ATS in their last 22 road games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games playing on no days rest, while the Jazz are 2-8-2 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Head to head, the Suns are only 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Utah,
I know the trends are pointing towards the Jazz covering the spread at home, but it would be a real letdown loss if the Suns were to lose tonight after beating the champions last night.
