The Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns square off Wednesday night at the US Airways Center.
The Memphis Grizzlies are a perfect 4-0 and continue to play their style of basketball at an elite level. The Grizzlies are first in the league in team defense, as they’re allowing 85 points on 40.3 percent shooting from the field. The Memphis Grizzlies have won 11 straight regular season games when allowing less than 100 points. Offensively it’s been a struggle for Memphis but that’s kind of what everybody expected. Marc Gasol leads the Grizzlies with 22.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, while Zach Randolph is chipping in 18.5 points and 12.3 rebounds. Memphis could use a bigger boost from Vince Carter, who is playing less than 15 minutes a game and averaging just 6.3 points per game. Overall, the Memphis Grizzlies are averaging 91.5 points on 43.5 percent shooting from the field.

The Phoenix Suns improve to 3-1 on the season with a Tuesday victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Suns continue to show their offensive potential with explosive scorers both in the starting lineup and coming off the bench. In Tuesday’s win, Isaiah Thomas and Gerald Green combined for 48 points and 10 assists off the bench. Those numbers are scary when the Suns already have guys such as Markieff Morris and Goran Dragic getting it done in starting roles. The Suns are shooting 45.3 percent from the field and have the ability to improve those numbers with the heavy guard rotation they like to use. Defensively, the Phoenix Suns are allowing 102 points on 44 percent shooting from the field. The Suns are looking to win their fourth home game in five tries.
The Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-9-2 ATS in their last 15 games playing on 1 days rest. The Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
While I'm a big fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and their style of play, they simply don't have enough offensive firepower to keep up in this game. Give me the home team and the point.
