The Dallas Mavericks be looking to stay hot tonight when they visit the Portland Trailblazers.
The Dallas Mavericks have been on a roll to start the season, bouncing back from their season opening loss with three wins on the trot. On Monday against the Celtics, the Mavs absolutely flew out of the gates early and found themselves up by 31 points in the first half before the young Celtics fought back all the way back to within one point late in the game. Fortunately, clutch baskets from Dirk Nowitzki and Chandler Parsons meant that the Mavs avoided what would have been a demoralising defeat. Nowitzki and Parsons both finished with season-highs in scoring, with 27 and 29 points respectively while Devin Harris continues to challenge Jameer Nelson for the starting point guard position, finishing with 12 points and six assists off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been a little up and down to start the season, but will be high on confidence coming into this one after coming from behind to beat the Cavaliers on Tuesday. After averaging just 13.7 points through the first three games of the season, Damian Lillard rose to the occassion and knocked down five threes on his way to a game-high 27 points while helping to limit Kyrie Irving to three of 17 shooting. Wesley Matthews also added 21 and Robin Lopez had 19, but this night belonged to Lillard who has been battling an abdominal strain to start the season. With the win, Portland improved to 2-2 on the season and 2-1 at home.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 52-20 ATS in their last 72 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win, while the Blazers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win.
Head to head, the Mavs are a dominant 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings and 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven in Portland.
There's no doubt that the Blazers were impressive in their win over the Cavs, but the Mavs have won four of their last meetings against the Blazers in Portland and that's too hard to ignore.
