The Oklahoma City Thunder will try to get back on track Sunday, as the Thunder host the Sacramento Kings.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are really struggling to find their footing with all the injuries right now, as the Thunder are sitting at 1-5. OKC earned a solid win against Denver, but since that time, the Thunder have dropped three straight. To be fair, that was a difficult stretch, that saw OKC on the road against the Nets and the Raptors, and then home against Memphis. The Thunder are having trouble getting anything going offensively right now as OKC is averaging just 90.5 points per game, putting them 30th in the league in scoring offense. OKC should be able to rebound once they get their weapons back, but until then this team needs to find a way to get some wins to try and keep in the hunt, and their heads above water.

The Sacramento Kings are playing very good ball right now, as the Kings are 5-1 on the year. Sacramento dropped their opener to Golden State, but since the Kings have won five straight, with their latest win coming against the Suns, on the road on Friday. It took extra time to get the win over a solid Phoenix team, but the Kings got the win, 114-112. Sacramento is showing that they can score with anyone right now, and on top of that, the Kings are ranked first in the league in rebounds per game, grabbing an average of 49.2 per outing. Solid rebounding with a high powered offense is always dangerous, and the Kigns will prove a tough out for the Thunder here on Sunday.
I’m not going to go into trends to much here, as I don’t feel they will have much weight as this is not the same OKC team we have seen recently.
I’m taking the over in this spot. The Kings are coming off a tough road win against the Suns, and facing a 1-5 Thunder team, I question how focused Sacramento will be defensively. That, plus the better offense should win the battle on the boards, and giving the Kings extra chances should equate to more points.
