The Utah Jazz take a trip to Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks tonight.
The Utah Jazz have lost three of their last four and will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Hawks by 100-97 on Wednesday. Alec Burks and Derrick Favors six players in double figures with 22 and 20 points respectively, but in a game where both teams were lighting up the scoreboards, it was the hometeam Hawks who decided to play defense first, holding the Jazz to just nine points in the fourth quarter. With the game on the line, the Jazz just couldn't find a way to slow down Paul Millsap, their former teammate who absolutely torched them for 30 points on 13 of 23 shooting. With the loss, Utah falls to 3-6 on the season and 1-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have actually been playing worse than the Jazz so far, losing six straight after falling to the Magic by 97-95 on Wednesday. Carmelo Anthony had a nice game of 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting, while JR Smith added 19 off the bench, but the scoring contributions ended there as nobody else scored more than 10 points. Defensively, the Knicks have been better than average in allowing just 98.2 points per game, but they are ranked dead last in the league in scoring, averaging just 91.6 points per game. In fact, the Knicks have yet to crack the 100-point mark this season, so maybe this triangle offense is looking more like a mistake with every game the Knicks lose.
In ATS trends, the Jazz are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Knicks are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record and 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Jazz are 6-20 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall and 0-9 ATS in the last nine meetings in New York.
Man, all the ATS trends are pointing solely at the Knicks in this one, but I'm actually looking for a play on the Jazz if I can get enough value. Let's wait for the line first before I give out my free pick though.
With the line being almost a coin flip, I'm going to go against my original play and take the Knicks at home in this one.
