The Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies play Saturday night at the FedExForum.
The Detroit Pistons picked up their first road win of the season with an overtime victory Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the Pistons lack of offense continues to haunt them, as they’re averaging just 93.2 points on 41.7 percent shooting. Despite overtime on Friday, the Pistons scored just 96 points and shot 42.7 percent from the field. Greg Monroe leads the way with double-digit points in every game he’s played and is 12-26 from the field in his last two games, while Brandon Jennings has 61 points and 15 assists in his last two games. The one player the Pistons need to have step up is Andre Drummond, who is 5-19 from the field with 32 rebounds in his last three games. Defensively, the Detroit Pistons are allowing 98 points on 45 percent shooting. The Pistons clearly have some work to do on both sides of the ball.

The Memphis Grizzlies continue to find ways to win and have not yet lost at home. Of course, the Grizzlies live and die with their defense that’s the best in the league and is allowing 91.7 points on 43.9 percent shooting. The Memphis Grizzlies have won nine of their last 10 regular season games when allowing less than 100 points. Offensively, Marc Gasol leads the way with 18 points and 7.4 rebounds, while Zach Randolph chips in 16.7 points and 10.4 rebounds. Mike Conley has 45 points in his last two games and Courtney Lee has made at least one three in every game he’s played this season. Offensively overall, the Grizzlies are averaging 96.6 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Right now, the Memphis Grizzlies are a scary basketball team.
The Pistons are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 17-35-1 ATS in their last 53 vs. Western Conference. The Grizzlies are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Eastern Conference. The Pistons are 1-8 ATS in the last 9 meetings, while the road team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings.
The Detroit Pistons are one of the worst offensive teams in the league and now has to play the best defense in basketball on a back-to-back. Good luck scoring. The under has hit in five of the last six meetings between these teams and that's the direction I'm going.
