The Houston Rockets look to stay undefeated on the road tonight when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Houston Rockets are an impressive 9-1 to start the season but they're last two wins have come by a combined five points. After scraping by the lowly 76ers by 88-87 on Friday, the Rockets just snuck by the shorthanded Thunder by 69-65 in one of ugliest games I've ever seen. James Harden led the way with 19 points on five of 17 shooting as the Rockets shot just 28.8 percent for the game and combined for just 27 points in the entire second half. Houston's offense has really been struggling after such a hot start to the season, but it has actually been quite encouraging to see them defend teams much better than they have been in the past couple of seasons. In fact, they're shockingly ranked second in the league in points allowed at just 91.6 points per game which is seriously impressive (but impossible to keep up).

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have taken full advantage of an easy schedule to start the season, winning nine of their first 10 games including all five at home. In the Grizzlies' last outing on Saturday, Marc Gasol scored a game-high 23 points while Zach Randolph added 17 points and a season-high 22 rebounds in a 95-88 win over the lowly Pistons. It wasn't exactly the prettiest game to watch as the Grizzlies shot just 37.2 percent from the field, but they made sure to attack the paint and get to the free-throw line where they made 27 of 33 compared to the Pistons who made just 10 of 17.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall, while the Grizzlies are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Rockets are just 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings in Memphis and the Under is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall.
Even with both teams starting the season 9-1, I couldn't be too confident with my money going either way. Instead, I think there's plenty of value on the Under here, especially given the way the Rockets have been defending lately.
