The Washington Wizards and Milwaukee Bucks play Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Washington Wizards have won four of their last five games and now hope to take that success on the road. The Wizards are averaging 99 points on 46.2 percent shooting and allowing 97.3 points on 43.9 percent shooting. John Wall is averaging 18.6 points and 9.3 assists while Marcin Gortat is scoring 13.7 points and grabbing 8.8 rebounds. Bradley Beal, who recently returned from a wrist injury, has 33 points and eight assists in his first two games back. Paul Pierce is 4-8 from downtown in his last two games. I was very high on the Washington Wizards before the season began and with the way they’ve been playing, they’re going to be a serious contender to make it out of the wide open East.
USA TODAY Sports
The Milwaukee Bucks have won three of their last four games and return home after a two-game road trip. On the season, the Bucks are averaging 96.4 points on 44.7 percent shooting and allowing 96.4 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Brandon Knight leads the Bucks with 17.9 points on 42.2 percent shooting and Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 12.3 points and 6.1 rebounds. Rookie Jabari Parker is scoring 11.8 points and O.J. Mayo is shooting 32.1 percent from downtown. While the Bucks have allowed 100-plus points in three straight games, they’ve done a great job on the defensive end and are 5-2 this season when holding their opponent to less than 100 points. This will be a big test for Milwaukee and its progress.
The Wizards are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on 0 days rest and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 road games. The Bucks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Southeast. The Wizards are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
Again, I really, really like this Washington team and there's no reason why it shouldn't blow out an offensively challenged Bucks squad. Get this line while it's still low.
