The Indiana Pacers will be hosting the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.
The Indiana Pacers are sitting at 5-7 on the year, and with all things considered with this team, that is better than some may have thought. The Pacers are still a long shot to make the postseason this year, and winning the Central is out of, and never really was in question. Indiana still has that solid defense from a season ago, as the Pacers are currently ranked fourth in the NBA right now in scoring defense, giving up an average of just 93 points per game. Last time out, the Pacers held the Hornets in check, beating Charlotte 88-86 on Wednesday night.

The Phoenix Suns are playing some solid ball this season, as the Suns are 8-5 on the year, and currently are in 2nd place in the Pacific division. The Suns have one of the better offenses in the league this season, putting up a solid average of 105.2 points per game. Phoenix has won three out of their last five heading into this meeting with the Pacers. PHoenix’s last outing was on Friday, where the Suns defeated the Sixers in Philly, 122-96.
I’m going to go with the Pacers in this spot. Indiana is a team that needs to play solid defense to have a chance, and I think Indiana matches up well with the Suns in this spot. The Pacers have fresh legs with the extra time off, and while Phoenix had an easy time of Philly on Friday, having to face a strong defense on zero rest is not easy. Close game, but I like getting around a bucket with the Pacers at home in this spot.
