The Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls face off on Monday at EnergySolutions Arena in NBA action.
The Utah Jazz are still in the building process as they enter this game four games under .500 and losers of their last two games. The Jazz are averaging 96.6 points and they are shooting 46.1 percent from the floor while defensively they allow 101.4 points and their opponents shoot 46.4 percent. Gordon Heyward leads the Jazz averaging 19.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Derrick Favors is averaging 15.6 points and 8.4 rebounds, Enes Kanter is averaging 12.9 points and 6.3 rebounds, and Alec Burks is averaging 12.8 points. The Jazz clearly have to improve to compete in the West but they appear to at least be headed in the right direction.
USA TODAY Sports
The Chicago Bulls are one of the top teams in the NBA East but they have been playing without their stars and have lost their last two games. The Bulls are averaging 100.2 points and they are shooting 45.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 98.2 points and their opponents shoot 44 percent. Derrick Rose and Pao Gasol haven’t played in several games and both are questionable for this one. Jimmy Butler leads the Bulls with 20.4 points per game and 6.2 rebounds, Taj Gibson is averaging 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds, and Mike Dunleavy is averaging 10.8 points. The Bulls have battled through the injuries for the past two seasons and right now they are in a better position than they were then as Rose was out for the entire season.
Utah is 6-1 against the spread following a loss, 4-10-2 against the spread in their last 16 home games, and 4-1 against the spread following a loss by 10 or more points. Chicago is 6-13 against the spread in their last 19 games, 2-6 against the spread against the Western Conference, and 1-4 against the spread after allowing 100 or more points in their previous game. Chicago has covered the point spread in five f their last seven games with Utah.
We are getting a good value hee with the Bulls and they are my play.
