The Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers play Wednesday night at the STAPLES Center.
The Orlando Magic have lost five of their last six games and still struggling offensively. On the season, the Magic are averaging 94.7 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are allowing 100 points on 45.8 percent shooting. Nikola Vucevic leads Orlando with 18.6 points and 11.7 rebounds while Tobias Harris is averaging 18.4 points and 8.1 rebounds. Rookie Elfrid Payton is averaging five assists per game and Channing Frye is shooting 42.2 percent from the field. The Orlando Magic are shooting just 42.5 percent from the field in their last five games and have scored less than 100 points in their last six games. However, the Magic are playing solid team basketball and just took the Golden State Warriors down to the wire in Tuesday’s loss.

The Los Angeles Clippers have won five straight games and are finally looking like a championship contender. On the season, the Clippers are averaging 105.1 points on 47.9 percent shooting and are allowing 99.2 points on 45 percent shooting. Blake Griffin leads the Clippers with 22.6 points and 7.5 rebounds while Chris Paul is averaging 17.9 points and 9.5 assists. Jamal Crawford is shooting 45.4 percent from the field and DeAndre Jordan is grabbing 11.6 rebounds per game. The Los Angeles Clippers are back to being that lights out offensive team, shooting above 50 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from three in their last five games. The Clippers defense could still improve but they’ve won nine straight games when topping 100 points and will continue to win if those percentages continue.
The Magic are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Pacific. The Clippers are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Magic are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles and 10-4-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings.
The Magic have been solid against the number, especially on the road and against Los Angeles. This is too many points to pass up with an Orlando team that has made progress the last couple of weeks.
