The Indiana Pacers take the trip to the Moda Center tonight to battle the Portland Trailblazers.
The Indiana Pacers have lost three of their last four and will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after getting thumped by 116-99 at Phoenix on Tuesday. CJ Miles led the scoring with 17 points off the bench while Roy Hibbert added 15, but the longer the game went on, the more the Suns' dynamic backcourt dominated the Pacers. In particular, Goran Dragic tore the Pacers to shreds with 34 points on 11 of 15 shooting, including five of six from the three point line. On the season, the Pacers rank sixth overall in points allowed with 96.4 per game, but they've allowed an average of 110.3 points in their last three road games which have all been losses.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers are ranked in the top ten in just about every major category which is why they've started the season 14-4 after 18 games. On Tuesday, the Blazers showed the league why they're so tough to beat because they were sub-par for the first three quarters but were able to rally home and win in the last couple seconds of the game thanks to the usual suspects. LaMarcus Aldridge scored a season-high 39 points and set up the winning basket with an assist to Robin Lopez, while Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews added 17 and 15 points respectively. The Blazers have been on an absolute tear lately, winning all but one of their last 12 games which was to the league-leading Grizzlies team.
In ATS trends, the Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss of more than 10 points, while the Blazers are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine home games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Pacers are 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings but the Favorite is 12-5 ATS in the last 17.
I definitely can't see the Pacers winning this game at all, so I'll have to go with the Blazers to win and cover at home, despite the spread being a couple points more than what I expected.
