The Phoenix Suns go for a third straight win tonight when they visit the Houston Rockets.
The Phoenix Suns have bounced back from a consecutive losses with a couple of big wins, including a 118-106 win over the Mavericks last night. Goran Dragic led the way with 28 points and 13 assists while Markieff Morris added 22 points, but it was a team effort as the Suns made eight of their first 10 three-point shots to jump out to an early lead of 16 points which they wouldn't relinquish. As a team, the Suns shot 56.3 percent from the field and 13 of 26 from the three-point line and never allowed the Mavs to get too close, sinking a big three or a tough shot every time they needed it. With the win, Phoenix improved to 12-8 overall and 6-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have won six of their last seven and are going for a fourth straight win are beating the Timberwolves last night in a 114-112 overtime thriller. James Harden led the way with 38 points on 11 of 17 shooting before getting fouled out in the fourth quarter while Jason Terry added 19 points, but with the game on the line, it was actually the rookie Nick Johnson who drove to the basket and made the layup with time expiring. With the win, Houston improves to 15-4 overall and 8-1 on the road, but the biggest positive is that they've won five of their last seven games all without Dwight Howard who continues to sit out with injury.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Rockets are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 against the Western Conference.
Head to head, the Suns are 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings overall and 20-6 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Houston.
The Rockets have done really well to win so many games while being so shorthanded, but the Suns looked seriously good last night and should have enough to make it three wins on the trot. I'm sticking with Phoenix to take this one by single digits.
