The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to have LeBron James in the lineup when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were riding a wave of momentum with eight straight wins but had that win streak snapped last night in a 103-94 defeat at Oklahoma City. Kyrie Irving got off to a quick start and led the Cavs to an early double digit lead over the Thunder but just couldn't get it going after hyper extending his knee and falling awkwardly. Kevin Love had a nice game of 18 points and 16 rebounds while Matthew Dellavedova added and Tristan Thompson added 14 points each but there was just no stopping Russell Westbrook who torched them for 26 points on 12 of 24 shooting. LeBron sat out with a knee injury and his status for tonight is unclear.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have lost six of their last nine overall and had their two-game win streak snapped on Wednesday with a 112-107 loss at Dallas. In a tightly contested game, Anthony Davis had a monster game of 31 points while Jrue Holiday added 30 points and 10 assists, but the Pelicans just fell victim to the late-game heroics of Monta Ellis who scored 13 of his 26 points in the final 4:27 of the game. The Pelicans are now 10-11 on the season which sounds all good, but they've actually lost their last five straight against teams with winning records.
In ATS trends, the Cavs are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record, while the Pelicans are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings and the Road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
The Pelicans have been terrible against teams above .500 all season but you just know that they've had this game marked on their calendar so you know you're getting their best game tonight. This one is pretty much a coin flip for me but I'm sticking with the home team in this one.
