The Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets meet Tuesday night at the Barclays Center.
The Denver Nuggets have split their last four games and end a short two-game road trip. On the season, the Nuggets are averaging 102.2 points on 43.2 percent shooting and are allowing 103.9 points on 44.3 percent shooting. Ty Lawson is averaging 15.2 points and 10.7 assists while Arron Afflalo is averaging 15 points on 44.4 percent shooting. Wilson Chandler is shooting 42.9 percent from the field and Kenneth Faried is grabbing 6.8 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets are hoping to stay in the playoff race but have to play more consistent defense if that’s going to be the case. The good news for the Nuggets is that they’re allowing teams to shoot 41.4 percent from the field and 27.7 percent from three in their last five games. The bad news is that the Nuggets are just 4-10 SU on the road, which includes a loss to Charlotte on Monday.

The Brooklyn Nets have split their last six games and are trying their best to remain in the playoff hunt. On the season, the Nets are averaging 96.2 points on 44.7 percent shooting while allowing 98.5 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Joe Johnson is averaging 16.3 points and 4.9 rebounds while Deron Williams is averaging 15.6 points and 6.8 assists. Mirza Teletovic is shooting 44 percent from the field and Kevin Garnett is grabbing 8.3 rebounds. The Brooklyn Nets main issue this season has been a lack of consistent offense, but they’re shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 41 percent from deep in their last five games. It’s all about consistency with the Nets, and it starts at home where they’ve lost six of their last 10 games. Williams is questionable for this game with a calf injury.
The Nuggets are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 vs. Eastern Conference and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Nets are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. Western Conference. The Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
Denver is horrible on the road and the Nets have shown some positive signs of life recently. Don't love this game that much, but if forced to pick, I'm siding with the Nets and the tiny chalk.
