The New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers square off Tuesday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The New Orleans Pelicans have won three of their last four games and end a short two-game road trip. On the season, the Pelicans are averaging 102.5 points on 46 percent shooting and are allowing 102.4 points on 46.9 percent shooting. Anthony Davis is averaging 24.7 points and 10.2 rebounds while Tyreke Evans is averaging 16.4 points and 5.7 assists. Ryan Anderson is shooting 42.2 percent from the field and Jrue Holiday is racking up 7.3 assists. The New Orleans Pelicans are starting to string together some wins and have held two of their last three opponents to under 100 points. Of course, defense has been the weakness for the Pelicans all season, as they’re allowing teams to score 108.4 points in their last five games. Right now, New Orleans is a playoff team but nine of its 13 losses have come on the road.

The Indiana Pacers play their first home game in eight days and hope to win back-to-back for just the third time. On the season, the Pacers are averaging 93.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting and are allowing 96.5 points on 44.7 percent shooting. David West is averaging 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds while Rodney Stuckey is averaging 12.4 points and 2.9 assists. Roy Hibbert is grabbing seven rebounds and Donald Sloan is racking up 4.6 assists. The Indiana Pacers lack of offense continues to be their downfall, as they’ve lost eight straight when scoring under 100 points and are shooting just 30.1 percent from deep in their last five games. The good news is that George Hill could make his season debut in this game after dealing with a quad injury.
The Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Pacers are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 home games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Pelicans are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
The Pacers aren't a bad basketball team, they're just banged up and missing their top offensive players. Well, Indiana will get a much needed spark with the return of Hill. With the Pacers at home and a key player possibly back in the mix, I'm taking a chance here with Indiana and the free point.
