The Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies square off Friday night at the FedExForum.
The Houston Rockets have split their last four games and play for the first time since Monday. On the season, the Rockets are averaging 100.1 points on 42.5 percent shooting and are allowing 96.3 points on 43.1 percent shooting. James Harden is averaging 27 points and seven assists while Dwight Howard is averaging 19.3 points and 11.9 rebounds. Trevor Ariza is shooting 36.3 percent from the field and Patrick Beverley is averaging 5.5 rebounds. The Houston Rockets have kind of been in a funk offensively, shooting just 42.1 percent from the field in their last five games. Of course, the Rockets rely heavily on the offensive side of the ball, as they’re 15-0 SU when scoring 100 or more points. Josh Smith is questionable for this game after just being picked up.

The Memphis Grizzlies look to snap a three-game skid and also play for the first time since Monday. On the season, the Grizzlies are averaging 102 points on 46.6 percent shooting and are allowing 97 points on 44.4 percent shooting. Marc Gasol is averaging 19.9 points and 8.2 rebounds while Mike Conley is averaging 17.9 points and 6.1 assists. Courtney Lee is shooting 50.9 percent from the field and Tony Allen is grabbing 4.2 rebounds. The Memphis Grizzlies have been a little shaky defensively as of late, allowing 100-plus points in eight of their last 11 games and allowing teams to shoot 41.6 percent from deep in their last five games. Three of the Grizzlies last four losses have come at home. Zach Randolph is questionable for this game with a knee injury.
The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win. The Grizzlies are 7-17 ATS in their last 24 games following a ATS loss and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Rockets are 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Memphis and the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
With some days off, the Grizzlies have had time to clear their head and focus on snapping this three-game losing streak. The Rockets are hard to trust with their inconsistent ways. I'll take a shot with Memphis at home.
