The New York Knicks kick off a three-game road swing with a game against Sacramento Kings tonight.
The New York Knicks have lost 16 of their last 17 games and are coming off a sixth straight loss, falling to the Wizards by 102-91 on Christmas Day. Under the bright lights on the big stage, Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points on 13 of 28 shooting, but may as well have been playing on his own because no one else scored more than 10 points other than Jose Calderon who had 16. As a team, the Knicks shot just 4 of 22 from the three point line and no one could stay in front of John Wall who had too many uncontested layups, so I'm actually surprised the Knicks didn't lose by double the margin. With all that being said, the Knicks' main problems are quite fixable but we've been waiting for quite some time now.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings haven't exactly been piling up the wins themselves, losing seven of their last eight overall including a 115-106 loss at home to the Suns last night. In an old fashioned shootout, the Kings had seven players finish in double digits with Darren Collison scoring 19 points and Rudy Gay added 16, but they could have really done with DeMarcus Cousins who sat out the game with an illness. With the loss, Sacramento fall to 12-17 overall and 7-10 at home. In injury news, Cousins is dealing with a stomach bug and is questionable for tonight's game against the Knicks.
In ATS trends, the Knicks are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Over is 15-7 ATS in the last 22 meetings and the Road team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
The Knicks have been struggling all season, but this looks like a game where they could pull out the minor upset. I'm not saying they will win this one, but the Kings have been going through some struggles themselves. Take the Knicks with the points and then look away...
